Presenters Dusty Miller and Dave Simon began BFBS Radio's 'Operation Christmas' at 6.30am Afghanistan time (2am in the UK) on Christmas Day, with a marathon show that included messages from troops on the frontline in Sangin Province. 

'Operation Christmas' also included carols from Camp Bastion and messages from the Chief of the Defence Staff, the three service chiefs and the Bishop to the Armed Forces.
