BFBS Radio 2 carries a number of news and sport programmes from BBC Radio. (By the way, we work in UK time here on BFBS Radio 2, as our programmes are heard in many different time zones from Brunei in the Far East to Belize in Central America.)
Start your day with incisive coverage of the national and international news agenda in Today* from BBC Radio 4 (Monday to Saturday from 7am). We return to Radio 4 for more in-depth news analysis later in the day with The World At One and PM (5pm).
In the evening and at the weekend, BFBS Radio 2 hands over to Five Live Sport for live commentaries and discussion. The BBC and most associated organisations do what they can to include BFBS Radio 2 in their negotiations in the complex arena of sports rights, enabling us to broadcast Five Live's coverage of most sporting events. However, there are occasions when sports rights are not granted to BFBS Radio 2 (some Champions' League games, for example), in which case we schedule an alternative programme. We will advertise which Five Live games we're covering on air and online.
BFBS Radio 2's own music shows with Simon Marlow, Richard Hutchinson and others, include BFBS Radio news bulletins, including Newsplus at 1100 UKT (Mon-Fri).
Last, but not least, BFBS Radio 2 brings you unrivalled analysis of the Defence and Foreign Affairs agenda in Sitrep with Christopher Lee, every Thursday from 4pm. Click on the link below to find out more.
