Al Murray is opening the pub on Christmas day for a special lock in on BFBS Radio. The bar opens at 1 PM UK time and last orders are at 4 PM UK time. Listen in for a Christmas special with 'The Pub Landlord' and guests including Harry Hill, Abi Titmuss, Brian May, Roger Taylor, Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley.

Mark Knopfler is famous around the world for his solo material and his work with Dire Straits. We were invited to his recording studio in London to have a chat in one of the few UK interviews he has done this year. After months of press and publicity and after dusting off the old guitars, sax and drums, Spandau Ballet have done the rehearsals and are back for 2009 with a new single, new album and the tour. We caught up with Tony Hadley and the band backstage at the O2 gig in London.

RAF LEUCHARS AIR SHOW 2009
On Saturday 12th September 2009, RAF Leuchars in Fife hosted Scotland's biggest air show. Tens of thousands of spectators enjoyed a seven hour flying display featuring everything from today's fast jets to the planes of yesterday like the Vulcan and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and of course the Red Arrows were there too. BFBS Radio was live from the air show as Sim Courtie swapped the comfort of the studio to be right on the flight line.

NAVY DAYS 2009 from PLYMOUTH
In September 2009 the Royal Navy opened the gates of the Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth to allow members of the public to go on board a huge range of Her Majesty's ships. The Navy Days are a rare chance to get up close to some of the most sophisticated warships in the world as well as watching air displays and events on the water.

It was the biggest selection of eighties bands since Live Aid and we were there at the '80's Rewind Festival' in Henley-On-Thames.
